Dear Connie
While opening the Nakorn Thai Free Churches in Phitsanulok Province this month, I met a lady whose story perfectly captures the raw power of the revival happening here. It was so compelling that I thought you should hear it directly from her:
"My name is Wasita and I am 43 years old. I want to share a testimony of the immense love of Jesus, who not only healed my physical body but completely made my heart new.
Three years ago, I suffered a stroke and became bedridden. It felt like my spirit had died along with my physical mobility. I lived in a constant prison of fear, bitterness, and the unanswered question of why this happened to me. But everything changed when an AFT evangelist brought the Gospel directly to my bedside. I opened my heart to Jesus, handing Him a life that was entirely broken and hopeless.
After that, a miracle beyond human explanation took place. My body began to respond. Strength returned to my numb arms and legs, and I could stand up. My tongue loosened, and I could speak again. Yet, the transformation of my heart was the greatest miracle of all.
As it says in Ezekiel 36:26,
'I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.' Jesus removed the fear, depression, and despair, replacing them with unprecedented peace and joy. He turned my focus away from my own pain and filled me with deep compassion for those who are still lost.
In response to His overwhelming grace, I made a promise to Him:
'Jesus, You gave me a new life. From now on, I want to serve You. I will use this life and this voice to tell everyone how good You are.'
Even though my speech isn't fully perfect yet, I am dedicated to using every breath, this voice, and this body to share His Gospel. I don't live for myself anymore. Now, my true purpose is to be a living witness. Whether I am visiting the sick or comforting someone in tears, I take their hand and say, 'Look at me. I thought it was over when I was stuck in that bed, but Jesus rescued me. He loves you and will help you too.'
My life is concrete evidence that Jesus Christ is alive, He heals, and He restores what was dead. All glory and praise to my beloved Jesus."
