From Students to Servants: Raising Leaders

in the Thai Summer Heat

One of the biggest problems I have observed with the global church is failing to disciple the youth. The Association of Free Churches in Thailand is addressing this by equipping our teenagers to be the "workers" Christ has called us to be.

This April (summer in Thailand), the AFT hosted our first "Find Shine Camp" to equip our youth to serve side-by-side with their parents and other leaders

The Training: Prepared for the Field
Using our core discipleship materials we are teaching them to make disciples just as we have taught their parents. Crucially, they are also gaining the practical skills needed to serve in the a church such as—leading music, working the sound board, and serving others through hospitality etc.

The Vision: Intergenerational Teams
The ultimate goal is for these young people to serve the Body of Christ and to join their parents and other believers on outreach teams. Whether they are entering a brand-new village or disciplining an existing village church they go together.

Investing in young disciples today secures the leadership of the Body of Christ for tomorrow.
