Important Personal Update from the Martin's in Thailand

Story of Mrs. Thanjai Meemon 

 

Mary Kay arrived in the U.S early last month.  While she has been in the U.S. Dwight has spent most of his time with FJCCA Church Planters in Central Thailand sharing the gospel in villages that have never heard of Jesus.  On March 29 we went to a village called "HuaNa" in the province of Phetchabun.  In this village he had the opportunity to share Jesus with 37 villagers. 

 

One of the people who came to this event was a 64 year old woman named Mrs. Thanjai Meemon. We noticed when she came she would not look at you she would always look to the side.  You can see this in the picture we took of her at the beginning of the meeting.

After I shared about Jesus and told everyone that if you have struggles in life Jesus can help you.  I then asked those who want to believe in Jesus to raise their hand.

You can see in the picture to the left Mrs. Thanjai only raised her hand halfway.  Unlike the others who fully extended their hand.  Something was preventing her from fully extending her hand.

After the meeting she told Pastor Somsak she needed help, she had been involved with black magic and an evil spirit was causing her a lot of distress and pain.  In the video below you can see Pastor Somsak commanding the spirit to leave her in the name of Jesus.
While he was praying the spirit caused her to shake and speak in a strange language, it didn't want to come out.   After Pastor Somsak is done praying and the evil spirit is gone her demeanor changes dramatically. She can now look at you.
Before she leaves Mrs. Lek, one of our church planters, talks to her to tell  her she will be back within two days to visit her personally.  Look at the joy on her face!  Only Jesus can change someone like this so dramatically!
We are so grateful the God has given us the privilege to be involved with helping change the lives of hundreds of Thai people.  At the end of every event where we share Jesus l ask the villagers who raised their hand and prayed to believe in Jesus what is going on in their heart, what do they feel.  Every one so far has told me that something has changed.  They feel a joy and peace they have never felt before.  Some of them share how they were healed and as in this example they are no longer bothered by evil spirits.

Family Update
After Mary Kay spent two weeks in quarantine at our son Tim's house she was able to be with our daughter Crystal, her husband Brad and baby Rosalie.  Mary Kay is enjoying her time immensly being a Grandma and spending time with Rosalie. She is amazed how a one-year-old can keep you so busy.
