Mr. Si indicating his faith in Jesus

Mr. Si with the team that told him about Jesus

Mr. Si's ID card verifing his age.  The year 2451 in Thailand is 1908 in fhe rest of the world

Dear Norm

Today we want to introduce you to Mr. Si. Believe it or not Mr. Si is 112 years old and just last week someone final came to his village to tell him about Jesus. Mr. Si has lived his whole life in the same village and no one has ever gone there to tell him until last week. Praise the Lord God allowed him to live this long and was given this opportunity. Unfortunately, there are still millions of people in Thailand waiting to hear. 94% of the villages in Thailand have yet to hear the Gospel. Someone dies every 3 minutes in Thailand without ever hearing about Jesus.

Thankfully the FJCCA is working diligently to change this. Their minimum goal for this year is to start 346 churches in villages where the Gospel has not been heard. Covid19 slowed the progress but even so 116 churches have been started this year. This means only 230 more house churches are needed to reach the goal. By God’s grace we will be able to reach our Vision 2020 goal of having 1,000 churches by the end of the year 2020

On a discouraging note the FJCCA had to quit posting on Facebook the names of villages where they shared the Gospel. We discovered other Christian groups would take note of these villages and visit them and try to claim the new believers for themselves. I wish they would follow the example of the Apostle Paul when he wrote in Romans 15:20 “It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.” There are so many places that need to hear of Jesus it doesn’t make sense to try and steal someone else’s sheep.

Pray requests.

On August 2 the FJCCA will be opening two new mother churches. A mother church looks after a network of house churches in 20-30 villages.

House churches are where new “babes” in Christ are born. As they grow in their faith the believer has the option of attending the mother church or just go to their village house church.

On September 6 we are planning a significant baptism service. At that time, it will have been close to a year since the last baptism and many people have been waiting to be baptized.

Please be in prayer for both of these events that Jesus is glorified and that we won’t have any opposition

Family Update

We are grateful that our children and granddaughter, Rosalie, are healthy and doing well.

At this time we have no idea when we will be able to visit the U.S. to see them as well as many of you. Thailand has closed the borders to virtually all travelers.  There are many people wanting to return to Thailand and unable to do so.

Thank you for your prayer and support of us.  We are always reminded that without you we could not be doing what the Lord has told us to do.

Blessings in Jesus,
