OFFICE UPDATE
In last month's email we requested prayer for our office situation. We praise the Lord that we were able to get a one year renewal of our rental agreement. However the owner is intent on selling the property.
We must tell the owners by the end of May if we intend to purchase the property. To do this we need to raise $175,000.
Please be in prayer for this situation. For more information about the building please click HERE

Dear Kirk
Last week Dwight had the privilege of going to Korea with 40 Thai Christians. Those who went are the leaders of the Thailand Evangelism and Church Growth Committee (TEC) for Chiang Mai
The purpose of the trip was twofold. The first reason was to develop a closer relationship with Korean churches. The second reason was for the TEC team to get to know each other better. The TEC team represents all Protestant groups in Chiang Mai.
The trip was very tiring but also very rewarding. We accomplished both our goals. Not only did we visit ten Korean churches and learned from them, we as a team developed stronger friendships. We had many of opportunities to share our lives with each other. Because of the trip we believe we will be a more effective team because we know and trust each other much better now.
My responsibility was to share the status of the Thai church with the Korean church leaders. While doing this I shared a vision on how Thailand can be reached for Christ. One of the primary points I make is that for Thailand to be reached, Christians from Chiang Mai need to have a burden for the rest of the nation. There is no other source of missionaries that have their ability to reach this country. The statistics are startling. In Chiang Mai one out of every 16 people is a Christian. As soon as you cross the Chiang Mai border to the remaining provinces the ratio of Christian is reduced to 330 people for every Christian.
After I shared, Angkana, one of the Thai ladies told me God has been speaking to her about going to Northeast Thailand as a missionary. After hearing my presentation she told me it confirmed what God has been telling her. She now plans to leave Chiang Mai and serve the Lord in Udon Thani province. Udon Thai is a province of similar size to Chiang Mai but has one tenth the number of churches.
Praise the Lord that God is working in in the heart's of his people. Please pray for Angkana as she makes plans to go to Udon Thani. She has many steps to take before getting there. Pray that many more Thais from Chiang Mai would get a burden to reach out to the rest of nation.
Blessings,
Dwight & Mary Kay Martin
