Dear Norm

Even though we are only 3 months into this year it is going by fast. In January Dwight traveled to Hanoi to train individuals on how to enter church data into the Vietnam Harvest Church Database. We hope to have most of Vietnam’s churches entered by the end of the year.

After returning we had a training session in Phetchabun province with 200 church leaders with the Free in Jesus Christ Church Association (FJCCA). Unfortunately, when Dwight was in Phetchabun he came down with pneumonia and had to spend the next week in the hospital and stayed home the following week.

In mid-February Dwight returned to Phetchabun to visit new house churches and had the opportunity to share the Gospel in Nong Tao village. At this evangelism event 40 more people made a commitment to Christ. Two new house churches will be started in this village as a result. So far, this year the FJCCA has started a new house church every day.

If you would like to follow the growth of this movement you can visit http://bit.ly/2HXKn7w. If you check back every few days you will be greatly encouraged. This information comes from a database called “First Fruits"created to keep track of the new believers and ensure the church planting movement is sustainable and verifiable.

Last week Dwight was elected for a second term as a board member of the Thailand Evangelical Fellowship – North Region (EFT). Our prayer and desire with this role is to encourage and train the many churches in the north region of Thailand to plant churches using the same model that is successful in Phetchabun. Please be in prayer for this effort.

Next week Dwight will travel to Laos to train three Lao Christians on how to enter church data into the Laos Harvest Database. It’s rewarding to watch the “Christian Presence” maps in these countries change as church data is entered.

To see what the Christian Presence maps looks like for the country of  Thailand goto http://bit.ly/2FfO9aC. By the end of the year Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam will all be using the Harvest Church Database.& Mapping System.

On March 23-25, Bob Craft from Reach A Village is returning to Thailand for another training session with FJCCA church planters.

To continue to grow the movement you need to continue to grow leaders. At this meeting the FJCCA plans to train 1,000 people. Most of those attending have been believers for less than one year. They will be trained on the various evangelism and church planting methods used by the FJCCA. Please pray for this meeting

Please pray for Mary Kay as she travels to the United States on March 9 to care for her parents. Dwight will be traveling to the US in April and May . We look forward to visiting many of you when we are there.

Blessings in Jesus,

Dwight & Mary Kay Martin
