Dear Norm
During the time I had available due to the Covid19 ‘break’ I worked on a website that contains information on the Body of Christ in Thailand down to the village and number of unreached people level.
I created this website so interested individuals can do their own research on the status of Christianity in this country. The website contains several different maps but most importantly interative statistics that researchers can use on their own. This website is http://estar.ws.
I think you will enjoy looking at it. The statistics are updated quarterly. From the attached a screen shot you can see what the interactive statistics page looks like.
The philosophy behind this website is based on Mark 1:38 where Jesus says “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” (NIV) As Jesus commands in the Great Commission “make disciples of all nations” or “all Gentiles" . Understanding the verse this way is consistent with Mark 16:15 were Jesus commands us “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation." (i.e. everyone). And of course the best way to do this is by using Jesus' example - go to every village. That is why these statistics shows the number of unreached villages and people. When the Gospel reaches every village, all of creation will have the opportunity to learn about Jesus and as a result every “people group” on man's list and God's list will hear the Good News, This website assists finding those unreached villages and people.
Thailand is the first country in the world to have statistics on the spread of the Gospel at this level of detail.. The Harvest Church Database where the data is pulled from is now used in several countries now and we hope to provide similar research for these other nations as well.
I also co-authored an article that was published in the July 2020 Mission Frontiers Magazine on the church planting methods of the FJCCA. If you are interested in missions and want to view it from a non-western perspective, you will enjoy reading it. Please click on this link to read it online:
Thank you for your prayers and support of this ministry. As you pray for us, we will be praying for you.
Blessings in Jesus,
Dwight & Mary Kay Martin
