Dear Norm 

Last week was a very significant week for the AFT.  We mentioned in our last month's email that we would be opening the Wang Champu Free Church. We did this on Wednesday morning, February 16, 2022.

 

This church is in the capital district of Phetchabun province.  We, the AFT, are in the process of forming house churches in every village of Mueang Phetchabun and plan to open two more mother churches in this district because it has a large population. Lord willing this will be accomplished by the end of 2022.

The Lord then amazingly provided resources so we were able to open a second mother church, the Phai Tha Pho Free Church.  We did this on the afternoon of the same day, This church is in the district of Pho Prathap Chang of Phichit province. This will be the AFT’s sixth mother church in Phichit province.

Even more amazing, just before we left Chiang Mai to drive to Central Thailand to open these two mother churches we received good news from a US foundation. They let us know that they will provide funding to help the AFT open mother churches in the remaining six districts of Phichit province where we don't yet have mother churches. 

 

Over the past year we have formed house churches in every village of Phichit province. The new believers in these villages are excited knowing everyone will have a mother church in their  own district. We plan to open these mother churches by the end of 2022. Currently we are looking for locations to establish them. 

Once these churches are established it will be a historic event for Thailand. For the first time since the Gospel arrived in Thailand 194 years ago a complete province will be reached for Christ.  Every village will have a house church and every district a mother church.  Praise the Lord!

The next day we then had a soft opening  for our new training center. The training center will enable us to train up to 1,000 church planters at a time.  We built this center to train church planters from all over Thailand to accomplish our vision to:

 

“Form a house church in every village
Establish a mother church in every district i n all 77 provinces in Thailand”

 

This was only the “soft opening” because we can only use the building’s first floor.  We are trusting the Lord for funding to finish building out the second and third floors.
