In Thailand, Pastor Somsak had a big dream in 2016—to start 1,000 churches and bring in 10,000 new believers by 2020. Missionary Dwight Martin joined him in 2017. In 2021 they faced a tough challenge in Phichit Province. Amazingly, they succeeded in transforming it.
They cleverly started house churches during the COVID-19 pandemic, turning Phichit from one of the least reached provinces into one of the most reached provinces in Thailand. Excited by this, the AFT aims to spread their success across Thailand. They don't just start churches; they disciple people to grow spiritually and support each other in their love for Jesus.
Even after overcoming many challenges, AFT remains open to what God has in store for them. They have found creative ways to share Jesus and have trained hundreds of volunteers. Their journey isn't just about numbers; it is about being flexible and committed. Over seven years, they have weaved a beautiful story of faith, community, and growth.
Passionate volunteers keep careful records, focusing on helping people grow spiritually. They share messages of love and hope, creating small and big churches. Dwight believes in using local (not imported) ways to share about Jesus. The dashboard at http://estar.ws/AFT.html shows the impact of their work. The story of AFT is like a colorful tapestry woven with faith, resilience, and a shared dream of transforming Thailand with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
