Last month, we shared the news of the Banphot Phisai district church's inauguration. This month, we have even more reasons to celebrate and give thanks! We are thrilled to announce the openings  of 11 more new district churches under the Association of Free Churches in Thailand (AFT), all of which took place just last week. Seven of these vibrant new churches are nestled in the province of Phetchabun, while four have found their home in Nakorn Sawan province.

 

We've captured these momentous occasions in a short video. We invite you to join us in this celebration by viewing it. We're confident that you'll feel the joy and blessings that these new churches bring to their communities.

 

As of last week, every village in Phetchabun province now has a house church, and each district has a district church to foster and expand the house churches. This year, the AFT aims to finish reaching every village in Nakorn Sawan province with the Gospel and establish district churches in the remaining unreached districts. 

 

This achievement is made possible by AFT’s dedicated team of volunteer church planters who are passionate about the Great Commission and reaching Thai people with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

 

They GO to every village in the district (Mark 1:38) and find “persons of peace” there. (Luke 10:6). Once found they return weekly to DISCIPLE them, enabling their growth from newborn children to mature Christians (Heb 6:1). As they are discipled, they learn about entering into a covenant relationship with Jesus and express a desire to be BAPTIZED (Col 2:9-15). We continue to TRAIN them, and many become church planters and leaders. (Eph 4:12)

 

This works because what the AFT does is Biblical and indigenously appropriate.

 

Mary Kay and I find immense fulfillment in witnessing the transformation of thousands of Thai individuals. Initially worshiping other gods and spirits, they had never heard of Jesus. Over time, we've observed their transformation into devoted disciples of Jesus Christ, guided by the work of the Holy Spirit.
